Wisconsin Autonomous has competed in many of North America's premier autonomous challenges. We have a legacy of success, accumulating numerous accolated since 2018.
EcoCAR EV Challenge GM Track
A multi-year Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, General Motors, Stellantis, and MathWorks. Teams re-engineer a production electric vehicle to incorporate connectivity, energy efficiency, and SAE Level 2+ automated driving features.
AutoDrive Challenge II
SAE International and General Motors flagship autonomy challenge. Over five years, the team engineered a Level 4 autonomous Chevrolet Bolt EUV capable of dynamic city driving, pedestrian interaction, and traffic sign negotiation. We did very well, finishing 3rd place over the full 5 years, placing 2nd years 2025 and 2026, and finishing 1st in numerous individual challenges
evGrandPrix Autonomous Racing
Purdue University autonomous go-kart racing competition. Replaced human drivers with real-time software stack executing high-speed time trials and dynamic obstacle avoidance on track.
Indy Autonomous Challenge
Competed alongside Michigan State as a combined team in the $1.5M international race of Dallara IL-15 cars at Indianapolis Motor Speedway through simulation and multi-agent racing algorithm challenges.
